Thomas R. Prokop is the president and CEO of GMSI. He is responsible for managing all aspects of the firm’s strategy, team, and operations across the country. He leads the firm in its mission to deliver the best client results in the management consulting industry. He is also responsible for interacting with clients, employees, the advisory board, and other stakeholders. As GMSI’s primary decision- and policy-maker, he sets the tone for the company’s values, ethics, and culture.

He is a proven leader with deep expertise in developing strong client and partner relationships, and is passionate about building outstanding client teams that possess a disciplined focus on operations and execution.
Prokop has a long history of partnering with his clients and transforming them through custom-tailored solutions, creating economic value and a lasting competitive advantage. Over his career, Prokop has delivered strategic business initiatives to executive and senior management across a broad range of industries, including healthcare, pharmaceutical services, financial services, consumer goods, retail, marketing services, utilities, and the federal government. His previous employers and clients include a number of Fortune 100 organizations as well as medium-sized industry leaders such as Home Depot, Duke Energy, Omnicare, and KPMG LLP.
As a third-generation American entrepreneur, Prokop has taken an active interest in fostering relationships in the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore metro regions to support and advocate for the business innovation and technology start-up community.
Prokop received his Master of Business Administration from DePaul University and his Bachelor of Science in finance from Saint Vincent College.
