Brendan Talty serves as GMSI’s executive vice president, overseeing the organization’s strategy and day-to-day operations. He has more than two decades of experience leading large-scale telecommunications programs for the government and private sector. Talty is well known for his leadership, creativity, and his ability to solve complex problems, including in emergency response situations.
At GMSI, Talty oversees the team’s networking and telecommunications teams, as well as manages GMSI’s client relationships. He is responsible for ensuring the company delivers quality service and manages projects effectively, on time and in budget.
Prior to joining GMSI, Talty worked for more than 15 years with the U.S. Army, implementing enterprise-wide telecommunications projects, including through the Information Management Communications Services (IMCS) contract. He has also served as a senior fiber optic network engineer for Lucent Technologies, where he deployed and commissioned the first global fiber optic backbone. Talty has also supported technical implementations with Nortel/Avaya and with Cisco. His diverse background ranges from on-the-ground implementations to system strategy and architecture.
That breadth of experience leads to practical-yet-visionary implementations for GMSI’s public- and private-sector clients.
