GMSI seeks System Administrators to join our team providing Information Technology (IT) support services to the Network Enterprise Center (NEC) located on Fort Benning, Georgia. This includes the delivery of comprehensive, integrated, end-to-end IT services that include Network Administration, including Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs), Systems Administration, Systems Integration and Testing, Configuration Management, Infrastructure Management, Project Management, Request Management, End-User Support and Training, Hardware/Software Fielding, Software development and maintenance, Business intelligence, IT Metrics Reporting, Quality Control, Information and Network Security Services, and Database Support.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Performs enterprise systems management, including fault determination, performance management, environmental monitoring, configuration management (coding/scripting/ patching/group policy), and security management of both classified and unclassified systems
  • Ensures that information systems are configured in accordance with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), applicable patches and other cybersecurity requirements utilizing DoD security hardening, collection and assessment tools (STIGs, ACAS SCAP, Nessus, etc.)
  • Tests and evaluates hardware and new software upgrades and service releases before distribution
  • Schedules installations, upgrades and maintenance in accordance with established IT policies and procedures
  • Makes planning recommendations for all functions of design, development, upgrade, support, and maintenance of IT Infrastructure and services
  • Drafts and recommends planning strategies based on analysis, design, development, documentation, programming, testing, integration, implementation, and upgrading of unique applications
  • Provides operation and maintenance administration of the Symantec NetBackup Disaster Recovery infrastructure at the Fort Benning Network Enterprise Center
  • Backs up and restores virtual machines and file level backups within the virtual machines
  • Assists with the development and testing of disaster recovery solution in a VMware vSphere environment
  • Gathers IT metrics and data from available sources
  • Uses the Army Enterprise Remedy automated work order system to develop, prepare, and maintain business intelligence reporting for both classified and unclassified environments
  • Documents actions and status of assigned tasks in accordance with established procedures to include the management of assets
  • Maintains knowledge management database

Candidate Requirements:

  • IT-I IT Level
  • SECRET Clearance with T5 Investigation
  • IAT-II IA Certifications Comp-Tia Security Plus CE or equivalent
  • Computing Environment Certification CCNA

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • CCNA Security, CCNP
  • 2-7 years experience
